NAVTA: National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) represents and promotes the profession of veterinary technology by providing direction, education, support and coordination for its members and working with other allied professional organizations for the competent care and humane treatment of animals. Germinder & Associates began partnering with NAVTA in 2000 to promote National Veterinary Technician Week (NVTW) on www.goodnewsforpets.com and has worked with the organization on several other projects including the promotion of their 25th Anniversary. In 2005, the organization chose to increase promotion of NVTW. Germinder & Associates worked to facilitate a partnership between NAVTA and Fort Dodge Animal Health (FDAH). Through this agreement, FDAH and NAVTA could cross-promote their events, NVTW and National Pet Wellness Month, which both fall in October. Due to the success of the sponsorship, FDAH agreed to again publicize NVTW, along with NAVTA's 25th Anniversary in 2006. Some of these projects have included development of marketing collateral and print production, media relations, advertising and Web promotion. Due to increased promotion, NAVTA has received thousands of media impressions in both veterinary and consumer media, increased advertising dollars for the organization's journal, found greater visibility online and added value to membership.

"Through Germinder & Associates' experience and media contacts in the animal health industry, we feel NAVTA has been able to increase consumer awareness about the role of veterinary technicians and NAVTA through their site, www.goodnewsforpets.com. We feel that it has offered a cost-effective manner for us to communicate our messages to the consumer media."
